TITTOS

Tell It To The Others

Service providers

enterprises or companies offering services or products to private and commercial consumers. These service providers cover the most diverse range of industries. However, only companies offering products or services are listed here. Companies manufacturing products are not featured. In other words you will be able to find garages and car dealerships but no car manufacturers, for example. Similarly in the “Service Providers” section you will be able to find an insurance agent, for example, but not the insurance company or its products.

Individual products, for example your vehicle or insurance policies, can be reviewed in the “Products” category.

TITTOS users can view reviews by other consumers relating to all featured service providers. Here are examples of such reviews:

Principles

^ top

User registration

Although TITTOS also allows anonymous reviews, these are held in lower regard. Anonymous reviews are marked as such. Their presence on the page can be activated or deactivated separately by the user.

Why you should register: TITTOS would like to promote or encourage dialogue between customers and service providers. However, no user or service provider can access the personal information of another user or service provider. All personal information is securely protected and can only be accessed by the TITTOS administrator (data protection).

To enable interaction, a registered user may allow their specified name or username to appear with a review. Registered users may also agree to receive e-mail replies from registered service providers, manufacturers or other users. Registered users may change these preferences at any time. See an example of user registration

Service provider/manufacturer registration

One of TITTOS' goals is to create a dialogue between consumers and service providers. On the one hand TITTOS gives consumers the right to point out problems and suggest improvements on a public platform. To ensure fairness, TITTOS also grants the criticised party the right to respond to the criticism. For this to be possible, each service provider must register. Registration prevents people from abusing the freedom of expression granted by TITTOS for their own amusement.

Each registered user can decide how they wish to receive replies or comments from service providers. The reply may be posted online or can be sent directly to the user via e-mail. (Please note that the user's personal e-mail address will never be listed on the site).
The criticised service provider or enterprise can also decide whether their reply or comment is

  • placed online
  • e-mailed directly to the specific registered user (provided the user has agreed to this)
  • placed online and e-mailed.

Right of acceptance reserved

Please note that, under certain circumstances, the administrator reserves the right to delete a message. This can, for example, occur if doubt arises over the criticism's authenticity. Reviews may also be deleted if they do not correspond with the principles of TITTOS. The deletion is communicated to registered users. Users whose messages are deleted on several occasions may have their account closed by the administrator.

Service providers that would not like to be featured on TITTOS can be removed from the database. In this event any further reviews or votes relating to this service provider will not be added to TITTOS. TITTOS would like to point out that the following reference will then appear with the service provider's name:

"This enterprise would not like to be reviewed on TITTOS."

Neutrality

To ensure neutrality, each user is given the opportunity to submit and retract reviews. However, if a user contravenes the principles laid down by TITTOS, their account will be closed.

TITTOS, itself, does not test any products or services. But, by allowing multiple reviews of a particular product or service, TITTOS does enable other users to test a review. This allows users to determine whether a service provider has asked its customers to provide overly positive reviews. The result is that users will be informed if a service provider tries to manipulate a review. The most effective way of "manipulating" a review is still to offer the customer the best service possible.

Only the opinions of private consumers are considered for the reviews. TITTOS does not exert any influence on the reviews. Comments with insulting or reviling content that offend the principles of TITTOS are immediately removed when discovered. If you come across such comments, please alert TITTOS of their presence.

Any enterprise fitting one of the categories in the industry list and originating from one of the listed countries can be listed free of charge. Companies can also list themselves.

However, for the sake of fairness, TITTOS does not appreciate exaggerated self-evaluations. TITTOS prefers an enterprise to ask its customers for honest and unbiased reviews on a voluntary basis. Each enterprise can make printouts of the TITTOS Infocards and hand them to its customers. This approach also ensures that all expenses connected to traditional customer opinion polls are cut down in the future.

Basic registration with TITTOS costs nothing. For additional possibilities, further information and advertisement options, please see the current price list. Please note that advertisements do not have any influence on the reviews shown.

Infocards

Criticism is only effective if it actually reaches the company concerned. So, it is in the interest of consumers to make the particular enterprise aware of reviews on TITTOS. This is especially important for enterprises not yet registered with TITTOS.

There are several ways to alert companies of their reviews:

  • Enter the correct email address for the enterprise
  • Enter the correct fax number for the enterprise
  • Print out the Infocard (link to Infocard). Hand it to enterprises, for example when checking out of a hotel or paying a bill. Alternatively, send it to them via mail, fax or e-mail.
